We are looking for a People Operations Lead who can take ownership, bring structure, and make a real impact across the business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and being at the centre of how a business supports its people.

The role

You will play a key role in making sure our People processes run effectively, accurately and with the right level of care.

You will lead a team of People Coordinators, support day to day operations, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure everything from onboarding to payroll support runs smoothly.

This role is a mix of leadership, delivery and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

Leading and developing a team

  • Line manage People Coordinators, including 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Support their development and day-to-day delivery
  • Provide guidance and technical support across the team

Driving smooth onboarding & compliance

  • Oversee onboarding processes across your business area
  • Ensure compliance checks (RTW, DBS, BPSS, references) are completed accurately and on time
  • Identify and resolve any delays or issues proactively

Owning operational excellence

  • Act as a key contact for people-related queries
  • Support payroll processes (absence, sickness, employee data)
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance

Improving processes & systems

  • Be a process champion, always looking for ways to improve efficiency
  • Support system usage and data integrity within HR systems
  • Work closely with the wider People Team and stakeholders

Supporting projects & change

  • Contribute to key People projects and initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement across People Operations

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and people-focused, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for improving how things are done.

You will bring:

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Experience working with HR systems or data
  • Confidence working with stakeholders across a business
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset and a drive to improve processes

It would be great if you also have:

  • Previous experience in HR or People Operations
  • Experience managing or supporting a team
  • CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it)
  • Strong Excel skills
