The Business Units are, in effect, internal ‘customers’ of our Support Functions.

Your purpose

As the Business Intelligence Analyst at Ascenti, you’ll be responsible for leading the data migration process and developing the new data warehouse pipelines as we move to a new patient management system. Alongside this you will be responsible for development of new insights and reporting delivered through continual engagement with customers and users. You will provide training and support for dashboards and datasets to improve overall business insights for decision makers.

How your role fits within our team

Ascenti Digital specializes in the delivery of digitally enabled physiotherapy, musculoskeletal (MSK), and mental health services for the Ascenti Group. Our bespoke workflow management, booking, and clinical notes platforms provide cutting edge experiences for employees, partners, and patients.

As a core member of the data analytics function, the Business Intelligence Analyst will report into the Group Head of Data & Insight to continue the development of our BI capability as well as act as a project lead for the data migration project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the data migration process and development of new data warehouse pipelines to our new Patient Management System.
• Maintain and develop data dashboards and reports using the latest technologies and techniques.
• Work with project sponsors and customers to understand requirements for the creation of dashboards and datasets.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve queries and perform end-user training on MI suite.
• Produce documentation in support of delivered projects.
• Perform data quality and system audits to improve data consistency and identify trends.
• Make daily checks using data monitoring tools and perform incident response for failures.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications

• Excellent understanding of SQL.
• Ability to create and maintain Power BI paginated reports.
• Expert power user within Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI dashboard development and tooling.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL syntax.
• Experience of working with data flow and ETL tools (e.g. Azure Synapse).
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer service experience.
• Prior involvement with data migration projects.
• Strong timekeeping and project management skills, ideally with experience working within a formal project delivery framework (e.g. Scrum, Six-Sigma etc.).
• Effective verbal and written communication style.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computing, or experience in a senior data analytics role.
